Acceleration sensors for battery applications and car-alarm

Memsic Inc., North Andover / MA presents the new series 6000 and expanded so their range of good and robust acceleration and position sensors.

The innovation of this series includes a reduced power consumption in combination with a faster turn. At the same time, the height of the SMD housing could be reduced to 1.55 mm. The use of these sensors is now also interesting in battery-powered devices like Mobile phones, PDAs or in the field of car-alarm.

As the predecessor families these sensors are also working without moving structures using a highly heated gas bubble in a hermetically sealed LCC8 housing. With this patented process acceleration, motion and position changes can be registerd in broad areas.

The sensor is powerd by a unipolar voltage from 2.7 V. The measuringrange can be programmed according to customer requirements up to 100g . A different axes programming of the x and y-axis is also possible. Samples are available now.
