Product Change Notification old Series from Nippon Chemi-Con

As many of you are aware, the global electronics industry has begun efforts to eliminate hazardous materials from the manufacture of its products.

As part of that effort, Nippon Chemi-Con has since 2004 been switching to ecologically friendly products. The RoHS Directive was issued July 2006 and it is assumed that the switch to ecologically friendly capacitors will accelerate.

Under these circumstances, future production for non-ecologically friendly capacitors, will become increasingly more difficult.

1. Discontinued series
All series of aluminum electrolytic capacitors indicated in the attachment. 

2. Time frame
It is our goal to change to alternative series by December 2007.  We’d like you to accept these changes as soon as possible.  If you have a formal approval process, please let us know and we will start the process of getting your approval before we supply you with the alternative series.
